Uncharted 3 Multiplayer Goes Free-to-Play!

After a few months of dropping hints our secret is ready to be made public. We are fortunate to have some of the most devoted and amazing fans in gaming. We want to introduce those fans and the world of UNCHARTED multiplayer to everyone possible. And we want every person who plays our multiplayer game to engage with it how they best see fit. It's time to go big and grow our community even more. We're thrilled to announce that today (tomorrow in Europe) is the day that UNCHARTED 3: Drake's Deception Multiplayer goes Free-to-Play!

To date over 3.5 million people have played in over 37 million matches of UNCHARTED 3: Drake's Deception Multiplayer. All Free-to-Play players will become a part of this same player pool of over a half a million passionate players actively playing our game every month. So if you haven't tried yet, you have no excuse to not be playing one of the most exciting multiplayer experiences on the PS3— it's free! Join the adventure today!

Once you download the Free-to-Play game from the PS Store you can hop online and play for as long as you want, as much as you want, up to Level 15. Upon reaching level 15, you're welcome to continue to play as long as you want without paying a cent. Unlocking the level cap will allow you to continue building up your profile right from where the level 15 cap stops you. If you choose not unlock the level cap or purchase anything you'll be missing out on a slew of cool in-game items and downloadable content we have made for the game to date. Come già accaduto in passato per Killzone, Sony mette in free2play il multiplayer di Uncharted 3, ovviamente con level capping da sbloccare a pagamento.

Iniziato ieri, i primi due capitoli sono un po' lentucci, vediamo come procede.
(per intenderci, mi ritrovo con il giovane Drake sul tetto dell'edificio accanto al museo e mi accingo a recuperare l'anello)

Nota di colore: un po' curioso dover avviare il gioco con "Uncharted 3: Free to Play" che non ricordavo - vedi post di qualche mese addietro - includesse pure l'opzione per procedere con la normale partita in modalità storia.

Nota di colore 2: sempre la solita storia con i download PSN, scarichi 30+ GB di roba e... tah-dah, al lancio ti tocca comunque una patch da 150MB circa.

PS: la Cartagena diurna è un tripudio di colori
PPS: La versione Plus UK naturalmente NON ha l'italiano, ma dopo il doppiaggio dei comprimari di Unchy2 può darsi che sia un bene.

Quando finalmente lo finirai, dovrai vedere un video promozionale del gioco girato a 60 fps che c'ha Eurogamer.

Beh penso che i 60fps possano solo migliorare qualcosa che già così è abbastanza bella da vedere.

A parte le battute scontate, il problema è che si tratta di un approccio/genere che non mi fa impazzire quindi per andare avanti convinto mi dovrà proprio prendere senza darmi l'impressione di essere una riproposizione del precedente episodio.

Forse non è il periodo giusto per dedicarmi ad un "gioco-film", forse la formula mi ha rotto e basta, forse sto pagando la relativa vicinanza all'aver portato a termine l'episodio precedente, o forse ancora è l'effetto-giochiaggratisse dato dal Plus simile per certi versi a quello dei tempi della pirateria massiccia su Amiga (tanto non l'ho pagato, avanti il prossimo era un classico all'epoca), non lo so... ma per adesso lo metto in pausa.

Eh che ti devo dire... io di mio non sono patito, poi ND ci ha ficcato un inizio che definirlo moscio IMHO è fargli un favore: cioè al punto in cui sono arrivato ho appena iniziato ad usare la pistola e prima mi sono dovuto sorbire una sorta di preambolo con dialoghi & sceneggiatura così adolescenzial-stereotipati che francamente mi è venuto il latte alle ginocchia.

In Unchy2 (per quel poco che mi ricordo come al solito) credo di non essermi mai scocciato fino a tal punto.

Un "peggiore" di Uncharted è comunque un "migliore" del 99% dei giochi lì fuori.

Uncharted 3 non cattura come Uncharted 2, ma rimangono alcune situazioni di gioco, alcuni livelli, semplicemente straordinari.

Un peccato mollarlo ancora prima che si alzi il sipario.

Forse potrei dargli l'ultima chance con il mitico approccio alla Mirror's Edge.
