Blood Message (归唐) is a narrative-driven action-adventure game grounded in historical events. The story is set during the second year of the Tang Dynasty's Dazhong era and is based on the real historical episode involving the Guiyi Army in Shazhou. It tells the story of a small courier squad tasked with returning to the Tang Empire. Players will take on the role of an ordinary member of this envoy group, embarking on a perilous journey of survival, evading relentless Tibetan military pursuit, and crossing over 3,000 li (~1,500 km) to deliver vital information to Chang'an.

    In the newly released video, the game showcases AAA-level visual fidelity. Cutscenes are interwoven with actual gameplay, creating a cinematic experience. The game faithfully recreates Shazhou-Dunhuang and the Hexi Corridor in the waning glory of the Tang Dynasty - not just in terms of landscapes, murals, and architecture, but also in the dynamic portrayal of the daily life, clothing, cuisine, and customs of the people of Hexi, reflecting the rich cultural atmosphere that made the Tang era so admired.

    Blood Message is also NetEase's first fully self-developed, true single-player game. The developers have emphasized that it will be a buy-to-play title—not a mobile game, not an online game, and it will not use a free-to-play model with in-game purchases.

    Reportedly, many core team members come from major international AAA studios, with extensive experience in developing large-scale single-player games.

    Blood Message is planned for global release on PC and major consoles. The release date has not yet been announced.
