Today, Rockstar Games has announced a new title for next-gen consoles: L.A. Noir. Although Rockstar has yet to disclose which platforms the game will be available on, it will likely appear on the PS3, and later on the PC, Xbox 360, and Wii.
Originally, L.A. Noir was funded completely funded by SCEA, but they later dropped support for the game's developer, Team Bondi.
Details about actual gameplay and the story are still scarce, but, as the title suggests, the atmosphere will be gritty and noir, as if taken straight from movies such as L.A. Confidential. Rockstar promises a true "blend [of] cinema and gaming."
