Now, in addition to the excitement and support of this remaster initiative over the past month, there has also been a healthy skepticism that we can pull this off. How are we possibly going to remaster these titles while maintaining the authenticity of the original experiences? Bottom line, there is no better way to achieve this than to partner with some of the talented developers who brought these original games to life.
So, after years of the fans asking for their involvement, I am humbled to announce that EA is going to partner with Petroglyph Games to develop the C&C remastered collection.
Petroglyph Games includes many of the original developers from Westwood Studios, and some of the most influential members of the original Command & Conquer development team from 1995. Joe Bostic is known as the co-creator of C&C, having also served as the Lead Programmer on Tiberian Dawn and Red Alert. Steve Tall joined Joe as a Lead Programmer on Red Alert, and Ted Morris was the original community manager on the C&C franchise. And Mike Legg contributed to all forms of audio systems at Westwood, having been an employee since 1986! All four members helped start Petroglyph Games in 2003 after the closure of Westwood and are joined by a veteran group of RTS developers from the past 15+ years.

Torna su PC un grande classico del passato.
Una delle saghe che ho più adorato nella mia storia videoludica. :'(
Ho già la First Decade (bellissimissima raccolta), e sicuramente farò mie anche queste remastered, nella speranza di un ritorno di questo grande classico senza snaturamenti vari (vedi C&C4 e le porcate uscite dopo).
Non ho mai giocato a questa serie.
Vi chiedo. Qualcuno di voi ricorda dichiarazioni roboanti sulla IA di Command & Conquer?
Ricordo anni ed anni fa un articolo su una rivista italiana nel quale gli sviluppatori tessevano le lodi della IA del loro nuovo gioco, ed a me pare proprio fosse uno legato a questa serie.
In particolare lo sviluppatore vantava il fatto che un gruppo di nemici avesse costruito una scala utilizzando delle scatole presenti nell'ambiente di gioco. Tale scala serviva a raggiungere un punto alto di una costruzione.
Se qualcuno ricorda qualcosa del genere, ed è in grado di confermarmi il gioco, potrei provare a tempo perso a riguardare le riviste che possiedo per vedere se trovo l'articolo.
Dubito possa essere un gioco della serie, di base non è mai stato possibile costruire (nel senso proprio di assemblare) nulla in quella maniera. Ricordo però un clamoroso pesce di aprile di TGM (tipico) su un nuovo episodio della saga, ma parlo di almeno 15 o più anni fa.
L'unico episodio ufficiale non RTS è l'FPS Renegade, e l'IA in quel gioco fa letteralmente pietà. :bua:

Io mi complimento per la colonna sonora ri-arrangiata, spacca di brutto! Si è persa un po' di "elettronica", però pompa a manetta.
La qualità dei video è un po' altalenante. Si vede che questo algoritmo è lontano dall'essere perfetto, però un risultato del genere era insperabile fino a pochissimo tempo fa.
Per il resto il gioco è parte della mia storia e uno dei vanti della piattaforma su cui è nato. :gogogo:
