Dopo i rumor la conferma ;)

Direi di "ni", le voci che circolavano nei giorni scorsi (che in questo senso sì, adesso sappiamo a cosa facessero riferimento) erano su un ipotetica doppia versione DS/Wii di DQ IX, magari da linkare tra loro in stile Chrystal Chronicles, qua si parla di un episodio nuovo di zecca della saga principale, l'annuncio è quindi molto, molto più "pesante" a mio avviso alla luce della popolarità di questa saga in terra nipponica.

Certo che con i tempi di Square non oso pensare quando potrà essere rilasciato... :sweat: :boom:

Hai ragione scusa ho preso un abbaglio  :ohno: pensavo avessi scritto DQ IX,in questi giorni ho la testa tra le nuvole  :inlove:

Peccato, avrebbe potuto essere un nuovo DQX con grafica all'avanguardia, invece avremo un DQ con la grafica del precedente per PS2.

Più che altro penso che possano floppare altri titoli third party che lo precederanno (vedi FF:CC, MH3, etc..) e Square Enix potrebbe ripetere la mossa fatta per FFXIII.

Il mio unico dubbio è su Monster Hunter 3, al momento proprio non riesco a prevedere: IMHO potrebbe andare benissimo come su PSP o fallire miseramente (in rapporto alle aspettative).

Da FF: CC mi aspetto ben poco sotto tutti i punti di vista (sia ludico che al... botteghino), ma su Dragon Quest mi sento più "tranquillo": lo spinoff DQ Swords è uno dei titoli third party per Wii che hanno venduto meglio in Jap, un episodio principale della saga è ipotizzabile che abbia un riscontro commerciale molto migliore.

Con la Dragon Quest Collection, pacchetto celebrativo per il 25mo anniversario della saga in uscita a settembre contenente DQ I-II-III (in alto le foto della confezione), sarà incluso il primo filmato di Dragon Quest X.

Magicamente, questa collection acquista più senso di prima. Sperando replichino a prescindere pure in occidente.

Nintendo è stata piuttosto aggressiva in Occidente sul versante DS, se ci tengono ad accrescere la popolarità di questo brand al di fuori del Giappone credo sia da valutare la distribuzione anche in USA ed Europa. Vedremo...

CitazioneDragon Quest Press Conference Being Held on Monday

Square Enix will be hosting a Dragon Quest series press conference on Monday September 5. The event will see the unveiling of the latest Dragon Quest game, with an introduction to the game and video footage.

You can view a live broadcast of the event at Square Enix's Ustream channel. Tune in at 14:00.

Today's announcement from Square Enix didn't specifically mention "Dragon Quest X" by name, but this is presumably what they're referring to. Although the next numbered entry in the series was announced a couple of years back for the Wii, we've yet to actually see anything from the game.

The veil was expected to come off this month via a video that will be included with Wii's Dragon Quest Collection, but it looks like we may get an early peak on Monday!

Dragon Quest X sarà un online RPG simil-MMO (EDIT: confermato, a pagamento in Giappone, nessun dettaglio per l'Occidente), che comunque è possibile giocare anche in singolo. Doppia versione Wii e Wii U. Uscita in territorio nipponico prevista per il 2012 in versione Wii, non comunicata invece la data di rilascio su Wii U (i mondi saranno i medesimi della versione Wii ma con grafica considerevolmente migliorata).

In pratica, DQX può essere giocato completamente in singolo, ma solo alcune ore di gioco possono essere giocate offline: infatti "per usufruire di tutti gli elementi di DQX, occorre una connessione a Internet".

Potrebbe anche trattarsi di una forma di protezione antipirateria secondo me...

PS: per la cronaca, dal solito GAF si apprende che è confermata la necessità di un canone di abbonamento, ma direi che era scontato... resta da capire se in Occidente faranno lo stesso oppure se si opterà per una strategia alla Monster Hunter Tri, che appunto era a pagamento in terra nipponica ma gratuito in USA ed Europa (scelta sicuramente dettata dalla scarsa popolarità del brand dalle nostre parti in confronto al Giappone)

Square Enix created Dragon Quest X style profile pics of the three developers for a greeting at the game's beta tester site today, just as the beta test began.
For those not fortunate enough to have made it into the beta test, the beta tester site is still wroth a visit, as it provides an early look at some areas of the game.
The site has a section on installing the game. After inserting the DQX disc, you select the DQX channel from the Wii menu. The game formats and installs the necessary data to your USB memory card (which must have at least 16 gigabytes capacity). The actual beta program is booted up from the USB install.

As one might expect of an online game, DQX has a version up process. The game also requires that you have connected to the Wii Shopping Channel at least once, or it prompts you to do so. To begin play, you'll be prompted to log in to your Square Enix Account.

The site also has a detailed guide to the game, showing the various facilities you'll encounter in town, the battle system, and character creation. Visit the site for details.

L'unica cosa imho è aspettare un video della beta, così vedremo per bene com'è strutturata (e in generale, se funziona bene :D).
