Microsoft’s Xbox officer, Mr Robbie Bach has predicted a huge jump in the number of users on Xbox Live. Currently only around 10% of Xbox owners use Xbox Live, but with the introduction of the free Xbox Live Silver Service he expects a growth up to 50% of Xbox 360’s users to be Live enabled.

Speaking to Japanese games Magazine Famitsu, Bach also confirmed that Microsoft are set to announce the Xbox 360’s launch lineup in Europe in the “very near future” most likely at the X05 event to be held in Amsterdam on October 4th and 5th.

Bach also talked about the Final Fantasy XI beta test, saying that anyone who owns a Xbox 360 with a hard drive (as it is required for FFXI) will be able to participate, saying it will be an extremely large scale beta test. While on the subject of MMO’s, Famitsu also asked Bach if Microsoft has a ‘original’ MMO game in development, but he says to expect a MMO game at launch is unrealistic because of the complex infrastructure but we can expect one in 2 or 3 years of the consoles launch.

Lo so, lo so... scherzavo, è altamente probabile che quello che dici incrementi in maniera consistente l'utenza che andrà in Live.
