The firm predicts two price points and healthy software support.

Microsoft's Xbox 360 is on track to launch in the US and Europe in November, with a Japan launch following weeks after, acccording to a recent article in Forbes.

Financial advising firm Piper Jaffray predicts Microsoft will ship one million X360 units in the US by year's end. By contrast, it predicts 400,000 shipped in Europe and 200,000 in Japan by end of 2005. The firm expects 15 titles to support Xbox 360's launch, with 25 to 40 games available by year's end.

Adding to what many other analysts and gamers suspect, Piper Jaffray suggests Microsoft will offer two versions of Xbox 360 at launch -- a basic package priced at $299, and a $399 version which includes additional features, such as a hard drive and extra controller.

Of course, all of these predictions are in line with what many others have forecast, and we certainly wouldn't be surprised if Piper Jaffray is close to the truth. Microsoft, as usual, had no comment. Of course, we'll all know soon -- hopefully, in only a few more months.

Spero solo che l'HD sia di serie e che il pack piĆ¹ costoso sia infarcito di altro (memory card? webcam? secondo controller? telecomando? headset? LIVE Gold? Wireless adaptor? altro?)
