Xbox 360 U.S. Retailer Bundles Revealed

Though the pricing structure of the Xbox 360 and its multiple SKUs has caused a stir among consumers, that was before specialty North American retailers revealed their preorder bundles for the system at even higher prices. Mandatory for purchasing the console at all from retailers such as GameStop and EB Games, the bundles include multiple games and accessories on top of the standard hardware.

Both GameStop and EB offer variants on their basic bundles: EB Games is selling a Core Bundle at $599.93 that includes the Core system with its wired controller and composite cables, alongside an extra wireless controller, a memory unit, and four 360 games. Since it's up in the air exactly which games will be available at launch, both retailers are issuing the caveat that games may be eliminated or replaced, and preorder customers will be given the opportunity to cancel their orders. An Ultimate bundle offers all the extra accessories and games alongside the Premium System for $100 more.

GameStop, for its part, is setting sights slightly higher: its cheapest bundle is the Core one at $699.91, which includes the Core system, a memory unit, five games, and a 1-year warranty. The Silver bundle again replaces the Core system with the Premium version for $100 more, but sneakily eliminates the memory unit. GameStop's most egregious bundle is the Ultimate pack: for $1,199.83, gamers can get the Premium system, an extra wireless controller, a 12-month Xbox Live subscription, and a whopping 11 games.

Both retailers are following in the tradition of bundles made popular most recently with Nintendo's and Sony's next-generation handheld launches: to ensure better business, specialty retailers are more commonly requiring purchases of games and accessories with system launches, assuming that early adopters will be already be willing to front the necessary costs to have the first systems. However, larger multi-faceted retailers such as Target, Fry's, and Wal-Mart will likely have supplies of the consoles without mandatory extras to buy, though pre-ordering may not be possible.

Ho sentito di un bundle a 30.000 $ che include :

-Console
-console di scorta
-portachiavi con volto di BillGates
-Cena di Gala a casa dello Zio Bill
-Notte di sesso con la moglie dello Zio Bill
-copia omaggio di Win95

....Scherzi a parte...ma come si fa a proporre un bundle da oltre 1000$...prima o poi mi toccherà

Quando uscì il Cubo chiesi a JoystickFun, che è il negozio di videogiochi fighetto di Milano, se me lo rateizzavano. Mi hanno risposto di no, non davo garanzie e la cifra era ridicola !

Starting on the 30th of September, Ghost Recon:Advanced Warfighter (GR:AW) will be featuring in an exclusive Premium bundle in the USA, with some added extras also thrown in for good measure.

Due to the game being one of the most popular on the 360, Microsoft has decided to bundle a Premium 360 console, GR:AW, and Xbox Live Arcade Unplugged (XLAU). XLAU will include six games that have been released on the Arcade. All this for just $399.99, which seems a bargain for anyone still wanting a 360. The following Arcade games are to included:

    - Geometry Wars Evolved
    - Bejeweled 2 Deluxe
    - Wik: Fable of Souls
    - Hardwood Backgammon
    - Outpost Kaloki X
    - Texas Hold'em

Geometry Wars is one of the most popular games on the Arcade, and Texas Hold'em was the fastest downloaded. Wik and Outpost Kaloki X are two great games also, and everyone likes Backgammon, right?! So this bundle is certainly a good deal if you haven't already got a 360, or if you were waiting for the price to come down. I have broken it down below so you get an idea of how good this deal is:

    * Texas Hold 'em: 400 MS Points ($5.00)
    * Bejeweled 2 Deluxe: 800 MS Points ($10.00)
    * Wik:Fable Of Souls: 800 MS Points ($10.00)

    * Outpost Kaloki X: 800 MS Points ($10.00)

As you can see, this is an exceptionally cheap deal, and one I imagine to sell well in the run up to Christmas. Could this be in defence of the PS3 and Wii releases? It will certainly look an attractive package when stood next to the other two boxes

Ho trovato solo conferme indirette, ecco perchè ho messo il punto interrogativo nel titolo.

In più non è chiaro se si tratti di una Core o di una Arcade (se non erro se fosse Core potrebbe NON avere l'HDMI,  giusto? ), comunque prendiamola per buona...

Ma da quanto ricordo il modello Arcade ha sostituito la Core che dovrebbe essere fuori produzione  da parecchi mesi  , se e' la core quindi , si tratta di vecchie giacenze di magazzino e se e' cosi' imho , meglio ( eventualmente ) optare per la + aggiornata Arcade che ha cmq un prezzo ottimo .

Pare si tratti davvero di Core, molti siti riportano questa cosa... :boom:
Nel dubbio eviterei (anche perchè comunque in giro non ne ho visto neanche mezzo di questi bundle, non è che è limitato alla sola Francia?! :mmmm:
