Iwata, Bach to Present Tokyo Game Show Keynotes

Satoru Iwata, Nintendo Co.'s CEO, will deliver the keynote address at the Tokyo Game Show in September, it has been announced. The September 16th speech will be Nintendo's first presence at TGS since 2003, when Iwata last spoke at the Japanese trade show.

Iwata's topic has not yet been revealed. Since Nintendo does not participate in the annual event as an exhibitor, going so far as to prevent any of its third-party licensees from displaying playable Nintendo DS titles at the 2004 show, the address means that Nintendo will likely use the chance to deliver further details on the next-generation Nintendo Revolution.

The company had earlier promised more information on the system later in the year, leading some to believe that Nintendo would revive its dormant Spaceworld show. However, since no news of a new Spaceworld has surfaced, the keynote address seems a possible, though unconfirmed occasion to introduce details such as in-game footage of Revolution titles in development, and possibly the much-speculated-on controller for the system.

In addition to this announcement, Robbie Bach, the Senior Vice President and Chief Xbox Officer for Microsoft's Home and Entertainment Division has also been confirmed as a keynote speaker at CESA's annual event, presumably to help bolster the company's presence for the key Xbox 360 pre-launch period, and following up on the extensive Japanese software support already announced for the console.

The Tokyo Game Show will be held from September 16th to 18th, with the general gaming public allowed in on the 17th and 18th.

Chissà se parlerà di Revo .... forse si, ma non dirà nulla di nuovo, imho, vista la mancanza di un vero e proprio stand Nintendo.

Probabilmente parlerà di NDS principalmente.

Comunque ottima new  :)

Prima o poi dovranno decidersi a parlare... anche perchè quando (finalmente  ::)) cominceranno a circolare i devkit inevitabilmente qualcosa trapelerà.
