Sono riusciti ad aprire il crowdfunding anche su Kickstarter:

sarei QUASI tentato di contribuire (ora che c'è Kickstarter di mezzo la restituzione dei $$$ in caso di mancato raggiungimento della cifra dovrebbe essere garantita) ma francamente a parte la scena in mezzo alla lava 'sto gioco continua a non dirmi granchè... boh.

Non ce la faranno mai neanche così, a meno che sommando le due campagne non gli dica culo ma potremmo appurarlo solo agli sgoccioli.

- Denis Dyack did not buy any
- others now at Precursor Games did
- Silicon Knights retained very little of the material from Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem
- that property is owned entirely by Nintendo
- employees could "take computers"
- Epic Games pursued legal action against the developer to insure that transferred PCs had been wiped clean before deaccessioning occurred
- Silicon Knights is now "mostly working on legal issues"
- "more than one" still working at the company

Io non mi fido più. ED è stato un caso di gioco in cui "oltre alla grafica brutta c'è di più", che ha spinto un po' tutti a riconoscerlo come grande titolo. I titoli a seguire sono state promesse non mantenute o ciofeche totali.

In ogni caso in bocca al lupo, alla fine spero che esca fuori un titolone (che sia episodico non m'importa) degno erede di ED.

Since we announced this Kickstarter campaign we have seen more support from our community than we had ever hoped for. Along with this support has come a host of a new exciting opportunities that will make the game better than we envisioned. As a result, we have chosen to temporarily take down the Shadow of the Eternals crowdfunding campaigns on both Kickstarter and our own website on Thursday, June 6.

This doesn’t mean we are going away -- far from it. We’ll be re-launching the Kickstarter in just a few short weeks with a reveal of these exciting new developments.

As we’re closing the current Kickstarter campaign not a single dime from this campaign will be removed from supporters’ accounts and everyone from our website’s crowdfunding campaign will receive full refunds via PayPal. As we re-tool our campaign and continue development, the forums on our site will remain open and active and any interested fans can still join the ‘Order of the Unseen’ to see our progress and join in the fun of creating content for the game themselves.

We want to thank everyone who has participated, volunteered, and spoken up to support us. You are our community and we value you more than you know. Stay tuned and we’ll be back soon!

Chiude oggi, in anticipo rispetto al previsto e con modesti risultati (meno del 10% del target al momento su Kickstarter), la raccolta fondi "per via di nuove, interessanti opportunità" presentatesi a Precursor Games.

La campagna verrà rilanciata tra qualche settimana con la divulgazione delle suddette novità.

"Rilanciato" il Kickstarter di Shadows of the Eternals:

Tra le novità, l'abbandono della struttura ad episodi, un target decisamente ridimensionato (puntano a 750mila $), la possibilità di allargare le piattaforme supportate anche a PS4 qualora la raccolta fondi superi in maniera considerevole l'obiettivo.

Ah, e c'è pure David Hayter al doppiaggio, fresco orfano di MGS.

Quantomeno han droppato gli episodi, è rincuorante. Il resto lo è meno invece, mi fido sempre meno.

Scetticismo decisamente comprensibile: i precedenti dei tizi non aiutano, e di recente con Kickstarter è capitato questo.

Peraltro, se persino il buon Schafer sta avendo qualche rogna con i fondi (mi era totalmente sfuggita, chiedo venia) perchè il progetto si è rivelato più ambizioso/costoso del previsto...
