Avalanche Studios Launches New Website, Announces Presence at GDC and Prepares for Major Announcements in First Half of 2012

STOCKHOLM, 28 February 2012 – Avalanche Studios, original creators and developers of the award-winning Just Cause franchise and the recently released and critically acclaimed Renegade Ops, today announced the launch of a new website to coincide with its presence at GDC 2012 in San Francisco March 5th-9th. Located in the Career Pavilion in Booth 1016, Avalanche Studios staff will be on hand to meet with prospective candidates for job openings in both its Stockholm and New York studios.

The new website at www.avalanchestudios.se reflects the company's recent growth and expansion into North America with the opening of its New York studio in November 2011 and the simultaneous development of three AAA projects to be released in 2013 and 2014. A complete history of Avalanche, its founders and projects as well as a monthly development blog highlighting its latest development work can be found on the new site. This month's blog features a detailed post-mortem on Renegade Ops by lead game designer, Axel Lindberg.

Ricordo, con mooooolto più interesse, un altro rumor che li voleva al lavoro su un tie-in basato su Mad Max (il cui prossimo capitolo dovrebbe vedere la luce prossimamente... ma anche qui siamo nel campo dei rumor...)

Qualche tempo fa era circolata la voce che stessero lavorando per dare un sequel a Just Cause 2... penso e spero che almeno uno dei tre sia quello.

Riguardo il tie-in ammetto di esserne totalmente all'oscuro... ma c'è sempre Gibson di mezzo?!

Mad Max 4: Fury Road
George Miller will be directing the 4th Mad Max movie. Shooting was originally scheduled to begin in 2011, but rare high levels of rain in the Australian shoot location made flowers bloom, which detracted from the post-apocalyptic feeling that Miller was going for.[3] Instead, shooting will begin in Namibia, Africa.[4] Tom Hardy will be Mad Max, with Charlize Theron as costar.[5] Theron's character will be missing the lower half of her left arm -- her stunt double will be Annabelle Williams.[6]
